The good reviews we're most likely friends of the owners/manager. The equipment is old and breaking down. The personnel are too busy to help you. I was repeatly double charged, finally had to start paying at the desk, I refused to give them my new bank card info. The roof leaks, etc, etc. One plus, after repeated repairs they finally got the showers in shape, pity the plumber didn't understand hydraulics when he plumbed the showers. I was a member for 5-6 years but after they ignored all the other equipment to buy a room full of spin bikes and place video monitors in the parking lot to keep people from necking in the parking lot, I quit. Go to Fitness First or Results Unlimited you'll be happier than you will be with Firehouse.
Variety of classes. Friendly welcoming people. Pay for a membership, day pass, or by the class. Daycare available. Zumba with Brian on Mondays and Wednesdays is always a fun workout.
They force you into a contract and then lie and weasel their way around it if you try to cancel it. I moved over 30 miles away and provided proof yet they continued to bill be and say it never happened. Will never return or encourage others to attend. Horrible customer service. I could never get in touch with the manager or get the truth from any of the workers.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I went in to sign up and nobody would even acknowledge that I was even there. Once they finally did acknowledge that I was there, they were very rude and made it seem as if I did not belong there. I will not be going back!!!
The equipment and facility is average, but I was not pleased with my overall experience and decided to cancel membership. Required to cancel membership in person which is archaic and inconvenient, then charged for next month because I did not cancel 30 days prior to charge being processed. Not a good way to run a business in my opinion.
