If I could rate it less than 1 star, I would. My wonderful (but insecure) 12 year old niece (with curly, frizzy hair that always gets tangled) wanted to get her hair cut short in order to get a fresh start. She has been struggling with taming her long mane for some time--and had some really bad mats in her hair. We both went into Great Clips this afternoon in the hopes of getting a helping hand--and we were only greeted with incivility and frigidity.
Good people. Clean environment.
Let me be clear. I have no problem with receiving advice on detangling or styling. I have no problem with a hairstylist (politely) turning down performing a haircut due to the tangling problem. I do, however, have a problem with 1) a bitter, cruel woman treating a child in this manner 2) a grown woman driving a child to an anxiety attack. I spent the entire drive home trying to convince my niece that she wasn't going to lose all of her hair.
My granddaughter and I went today for haircuts. I saw Logan, she was great, cut was awesome. Not so for my granddaughter. She saw Jeannie, had a pic of the haircut which Jeannie had access to the entire time. The haircut she left with was not even close. The stylist did not listen when she asked her not to make it shorter, not to layer. She did it anyway and told her she would like it. Well, she did not. The cut was really horrible, and the stylist seemed completely oblivious to the fact that my granddaughter was upset. Everyone else in there saw her crying as we left. I would not let that woman groom my dog, if I had one! Never let her cut your hair. There are good stylists there, she is just not one of them.
Just took my son for a hair cut a bit of wait but Alisha was awesome she did great with my son definitely going to be back to see her
After we were checked in, we were guided by an older woman to her booth. The woman told my niece to have a seat. My niece attempted to get her bearings and did not sit down immediately, and the woman icily snapped "SIT DOWN!" at her. I was nearly ready to leave at that point, but I knew my niece had been looking forward to her haircut all week. Unfortunately, I should have listened to my gut--as what happened next left me stunned and enraged. The woman grabbed my niece's hair in disgust and proceeded to tell her that she wouldn't touch it. She accusingly asked me how long it had been "in this state," and repeatedly told my niece that she was going to lose ALL OF HER HAIR. By that time, my face gave away my anger (while my niece was starting to have a panic attack and was nearly in tears)--and she attempted to redeem herself by telling me I could spend hours detangling it myself. I grabbed my niece's hand and left before I said some really ugly things.
Better than smart styles @ walmart!
