Basketball camp was so fun!!!
The park itself is wonderful but the gym on the other hand is horrible. Don't get me wrong, it's clean and the goals are great but the guy in charge of the gym is a narcissist. The courts are supposed to be open until 9 but at 8:30 he literally will not let you play a game and only allows you to shoot around. He is incredibly rude and tries to assert his power when it is not needed, therefore ruining the experience for everyone. I love the gym and would like to give it 5 stars but they really need to find a friendly replacement for him. Until then, I recommend the Calhoun Rec. Much friendlier staff.
It's a beautiful park. Very clean but we have had 2 VERY BAD experiences. The first was on Memorial Day 2015. We wanted to rent a boat and there was NO caretaker/employee to be found. We even drove to caretakers house. A line of people before he showed up hours late. We let that go since we still had fun . TODAY I AM OUTRAGED!!!! WE RENTED A BOAT AGAIN WITH MY 2 AND 4 YEAR OLD. HE KNOWINGLY LET US TAKE A BOAT WITH A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM. THAT WAS COVERED THE SAME LETTERING STICKERS USED AROUND THE PROPERTY COVERING IT!
