Good food and kind staff.
Our absolute favorite in Calhoun! Possibly the best Chicken Philly sandwich I've ever eaten! My husband loves the Gate Burger and the Rib eye steak is fabulous. These are about the only entrees we can attest to because they're our favs. Need to venture out and try something else on the menu. I'm certain it would be great as we've never gotten anything we didn't like. Service is excellent!
This is a local restaurant, that is just off a main road. So travelers don't really notice it, but the locals do.
The food is served quickly. Literally to your table just after it is cooked and it is smoke piping hot.
There are good options for all meal courses.
I started coming here a little over one month ago. Five waitresses left within the month I had been coming.. Each of them said it was because of the way they were treated by the owner and the owner's family. I spoke to each of them. They were always being called 'stupid', 'dumb ass' and told they had no common sense, amongst being yelled at, cussed at, put down, and having unrealistic expectations put on them. I also noticed, then asked one of them if it were true... they do NOT wear gloves in the kitchen!! Sure, the food is good... but as for me.. i stand for kindness and will NOT be supporting a family that can not keep help around, due to the way they treat others. Thank you for reading.

The wings are actually wingettes. They do give extra for the size. But still...wingettes.

Much of the food is fried, but they have salads and other options.
The fried mushrooms are good whole mushrooms.
You'll do better here than most others in this area.
There is some nice outside seating as well as inside seating.
The staff are incredibly helpful and nice.
Best restaurant by FAR in the whole Gordon County! Where it lacks beauty it makes up in the most delicious food, well put together, cheap meals I've seen in years. The BBQ platter is to die for and it's only like 6 bucks!
