My wife and I can praise the Motel 6 in Calhoun, GA highly, as Florida evacuees from Hurricane Irma. I had called Motel 6's national number and the woman reserved a room there, but she price-gouged us for $124.00, yes, for each night at a Motel 6. But desperate for a place to stay (everywhere was booked), we took it. Yet the friendly Indian couple there saw the problem and charged us only $59.00 a night. That helped us at a difficult time, so we're grateful for their fairness.
I'm pretty sure the sheets weren't clean, because I find a crumb in my bed. There was a cockroach in the bathtub too. The area seemed safe enough though and they did hold on to and wash my son's pillow and blanket that he left in the room. We picked it up on the way back through. So, customer service is good and it's up to you to decide whether or not you want to sleep in sheets that may not be clean.
The room was good size, as was the bathroom, however I couldn't use the shower because there was no hot water. Actually, there was no warm water either. I let it run for five minutes on its "hotest" setting and it only went to room temperature.
Wasn't terrible, seemed mostly clean. We had to stay as other hotels were all booked. Only had 3 pillows for a King bed, asked for more they did bring. The hotel room phone didn't work though, called from my phone.Bed was in plastic so I knew there had been some bedbug issues, It wasn't very comfortable. . Bathroom was rundown and front desk wasn't exactly friendly.
